IT Programme Director/Senior IT Programme Manager

IT Programme Director/Senior IT Programme Manager required by a global services organisation, to be based remotely with infrequent travel, who has recently embarked on a significant and multi-year IT transformation programme.

Location – Remote with infrequent travel

Salary – £90,000 to £110,000 + bonus + benefits

To qualify the IT Programme Director/Senior IT Programme Manager will have:

• A strong track record of delivering IT focused projects and programmes with multiple work streams to tight timescales.
• Experience of scoping and the subsequent delivery of IT projects and programmes.
• Excellent vendor management skills including Tier 1 suppliers.
• Dynamic leadership skills (either line or matrix management).
• A broad understanding of application technology, infrastructure and networking.
• Be a proven self-starter with strong collaboration, delivery focused, relationship building, integrity and senior stakeholder management competencies.
• Knowledge of managing multiple senior stakeholders with a variety of needs and wants.
• Have the ability to provide a clear structure and plan in what can be an ambiguous environment.
• Ideally have a history of working in a similar organisational structure to my client (i.e. corporate/global, with multiple business units/countries reporting into a group function).

The IT Programme Director/Senior IT Programme Manager will be working closely with the Global CIO and IT Portfolio Director and have responsibility to plan (c40%) and deliver (c60%) largely inflight IT projects and programmes (c55 in total, average budget c£3million) via both internal (direct reports) resources and numerous external vendors.
