Senior Network Engineer

Senior Network Engineer required by a global services organisation, to be based remotely, who has recently embarked on a significant IT transformation programme.

Role – Senior Network Engineer
Location – Remote with infrequent travel

Salary – £70,000 to £80,000 + benefits

The Senior Network Engineer will have a demonstrable background in routing, switching and firewall administration, an excellent understanding of AWS and ideally Azure, TCP/IP and LAN/WAN architecture, hold or have held relevant industry qualifications (CCNP or equivalent as a minimum), have some understanding of SDWAN, a history of working in a similar organisational structure to my client (i.e. corporate/global, with multiple business units/countries reporting into a group function), be a proven self-starter with strong collaboration, delivery focused, relationship building, integrity and stakeholder management competencies and have good written and verbal communication skills.

Your role will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation and maintenance of the global network (43 countries and 24,000 users) including LANs, WANs and WLANS.   Additionally you will be tasked with assessing the organisations current and future networking needs, recommending upgrades or enhancements and implementing security measures to protect against cyber threats.
